Claude Lanzmann fought in the French resistance; studied philosophy at the Sorbonne; lived with Simone de Beauvoir; worked as a journalist; and made one of the most important films about the Holocaust ever: "Shoah." Lanzmann died today (7/5/18) in Paris - he was 92 years old.
